the starting point
TONNES OF CO2. IN A SPREADSHEET.
The climate effect of a solar carport is abstract. The tonnes of CO₂ live in a table that gets opened once. In B2B, where management decides and then shows the result to partners, that is a lost story: the client has nothing to show, and PILLAR has no reason to remind of itself after the project is handed over.
what we built
A GLASS CO2 AWARD FOR CLIENTS.
A physical award PILLAR hands to the client after the plant goes live. On the glass: the client's logo and the yearly CO₂ saving of their project. On the black base: PILLAR. We took it from idea to finished object: concept, design, print files, finding the manufacturer and placing the order.
-
01
IDEA
A concept visual of a CO₂ savings certificate: the glass shape, a leaf with forest and carports, a big tonnage figure.
-
02
DESIGN
Adapted to a real project: client logo, German copy, the CO₂ figure in PILLAR yellow, the PILLAR logo on the base.
-
03
PRINT FILES & PRODUCTION
Print files at full size and with 3 mm cutting bleed. With the manufacturer we agreed 10 mm clear glass, matte edges, UV print on the back and a black glass base.

04
ON THE DESK
The first award is for MURR: 210 tonnes of CO₂ a year. The layout stays a template: for the next project only the logo and the figure change.

THE AWARD IN NUMBERS.
210Tonnes of CO₂ a year on the first award (MURR project)
10mm of clear glass with matte edges and UV print
2Fields that change per project: client logo and CO₂ figure
idea in august, glass on the desk in september.
the footnote
WHAT IT GIVES
PILLAR.
The award keeps working longer than any post: it stands at the client's reception or in a meeting room, and every guest sees the PILLAR logo next to the CO2 figure.

who this is for
FOR B2B COMPANIES WITH AN INVISIBLE BENEFIT.
For manufacturers and contractors whose result is measured in kilowatt-hours, tonnes or years, and then disappears into reports. The award makes that figure visible to the client and everyone who walks into their office.
- You hand over projects to B2B clients and want to stay in sight after installation
- Your product has a measurable effect: CO₂, energy, savings
- You need a gift worth putting on the reception desk, not another branded notebook

asked about this case
Where does the 210 tonnes figure come from?
It is the yearly CO₂ saving of a specific PILLAR solar carport project for MURR. PILLAR provides the figure from the project data; our job is to make it visible.
What did you do, and what did the manufacturer do?
We did the idea, design, print files, finding the manufacturer, approvals and the order. The manufacturer cut the glass, finished the edges and UV-printed it from our files.
Can it be repeated for the next client?
Yes. The layout is built as a template: the client logo and the CO₂ figure change, while shape, materials and manufacturer are already agreed.
Is this only for solar energy?
No. It fits any B2B product with a measurable effect: energy saved, tonnes recycled, years of equipment in operation.
